Key Accomplishments
- Johnston Construction Company coordinated installation of fabricated steel equipment capsules designed for below-grade service, including pumping equipment, piping connections, electrical/control components, and startup requirements.
- The project provided the development with complete water pressure boosting facilities designed to support reliable water service for the residential community.
- Johnston Construction Company performed the Water Booster Station Installation for McNaughton Homes at the Estates at Autumn Oaks Phase 1B development. The work was completed under Purchase Order 90234 and included installation of water booster stations at Colonial Road and Stellata Court.
- The water booster station system included a vertical cylindrical steel capsule, access hatch, ladders, safety grating, pipe supports, lighting, convenience receptacle, emergency lighting, dehumidifier, corrosion-resistant heater, ventilation, pumping equipment, piping, valves, pressure gauges, pressure switches, discharge pressure transmitters, and flow metering. The pump equipment was specified as close-coupled end suction centrifugal pumps, with two pumps each designed for 300 gpm at 90 feet TDH.
- The specifications required certified factory pump performance testing, hydrostatic testing, electrical sequence testing, installation, startup services, manufacturer representative support, operator training, and startup documentation. Johnston Construction Company coordinated installation and startup requirements so the completed booster station systems could be turned over as complete operating facilities for the development.
