Key Accomplishments

• The company completed general civil site construction, including clearing, excavation, grading, backfill, erosion and sediment controls, driveway improvements, and restoration.
• JCC installed approximately 205 linear feet of six-inch PVC sanitary-sewer service between the new water-treatment building and the existing sanitary-sewer system.
• The company installed approximately 40 linear feet of six-inch PVC raw-water main between the well and the treatment building.
• JCC installed approximately 60 linear feet of six-inch ductile-iron water piping within the treatment building.
• The company installed approximately 18 linear feet of eight-inch PVC finished-water main between the building and the connection to the existing distribution system.
• JCC completed a ten-inch wet-tap connection and valve installation on the existing water main.
• The work included two complete chemical-storage and chemical-feed systems, a fluoride saturator, chemical analyzers, process instrumentation, piping, valves, supports, and associated treatment equipment.
• JCC installed plumbing systems, domestic-water piping, sanitary-waste and vent piping, an emergency eyewash fixture, water heater, exhaust fans, louvers, and supporting mechanical equipment.
• The company constructed the concrete generator pad and coordinated the mechanical and civil interfaces required for the separate electrical contract.
• JCC completed pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, equipment startup, system demonstrations, record documentation, cleanup, and final site restoration.
• Johnston Construction Company performed Contract 2020-0131 – General Construction for the Shipbuilders Well & Water Treatment Facility project in Milton, Delaware.
• The project provided the Town of Milton with a new public water-treatment facility serving the Shipbuilders development and surrounding water-distribution system.
